|I really liked this book … but I think overall, I liked “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” a tad bit better. I know there is some controversy surrounding this title, and whether or not the idea(s) were plagiarized — it’s hard to tell. There are some similarities.|
I feel like this book focused more on the lives of the characters and only glossed over the pack horse librarian project. “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” also went pretty in depth into the lives and stories of the characters, but I gleaned way more knowledge and understanding of what the pack horse librarian project was all about from reading that one than I did from reading this one.
There is some foul language in this book, so if that isn’t your cup of tea, you may wish to pass this one by. It wasn’t awful and it wasn’t a lot, but there is some.
I listened to this book on audio through Libby … the narrator did a very nice job!
