The Nest (Sweeney)

The Nest (Sweeney)

The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney is a story about why you shouldn’t count your chickens before they hatch and the dysfunctional lives of four siblings who have been doing just that.  As their youngest sibling’s 40th birthday draws near, and they find out their mother used some of “The Nest” to get their oldest brother out of a jam, each of the Plumb siblings must face the scary reality that the inheritance (“The Nest”) they have been counting on receiving will most likely not be what they were counting on it being, and therefore won’t be the solution to all their various problems.

If I were to give this a rating, I’d say it’s somewhere between a PG-13 and an R. There is some language (not a ton) and some references to sex.
