Wishing to read a story with mystery and a little lighthearted romance, I turned to one of my favorite authors, Jayne Ann Krentz, and her book Lost & Found. It fit the bill and was an enjoyable read. Cady Briggs has an eye for detecting forgeries in decorative arts and is free-lancing with a small business, Lost & Found, whose owner Mack Easton traces and recovers missing art. Cady’s great aunt Vera dies with her business, Gallery Chatelaine, in the midst of a merger and leaving Cady controlling interest in the gallery. Cady brings in her part-time boss undercover to help her figure out why Great Aunt Vera made such a drastic change and how the merger figures into her death. Mack and Cady banter through the twists and turns of figuring this mystery and their future relationship.
